Lewis Physical Therapy

Promoting Wellness and Fitness

Elizabeth Lewis, PT, OCS, WCS

I am a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist and Women's Health Clinical Specialist, Owner, Lewis Physical Therapy. My private practice is a physical therapist owned and operated practice. As my client, you will receive one on one sessions including: comprehensive evaluations, manual (hands on) therapy, therapeutic exercise, neuromuscular re-education, therapeutic modalities and education on how to improve your condition, wellness and fitness. My pelvic floor work addresses an overactive pelvic floor, which can cause conditions involving pain constipation/retention, or underactive pelvic floor, which can cause incontinence or prolapse. I also work with visceral and abdominal conditions including DRA, post-partum.

I specialize in women's health, such as the treatment of pelvic floor dysfunction. I also treat men, pre and post-prostatectomy. I can treat spinal or hip dysfunction and limit my orthopedic practice to that, as it relates to post-partum or pelvic floor issues. In addition to my Board Clinical Specialty certifications, I am also certified in pelvic health, cold laser therapy and instrument assisted soft tissue mobilization.

From Lewis Physical Therpay Patients

"It was hugely helpful. I feel heaps better."

"It's so nice to have my life back."

"Elizabeth Lewis has a lot of tricks up her sleeve, she's so knowledgeable about many different treatment methods. And she knows that what works for one patient, may not work for another. Best of all, I felt that she listened to me and that I was an active participant in my therapy."

"I highly recommend Elizabeth Lewis as a physical therapist. She is knowledgeable, caring and very effective in her work. I have been very happy with results I have had from working with her personally, as well as results for the clients of mine who I've referred to her for various issues. She has many years of experience, listens well, and works in a detailed, thoughtful and thorough way. She has that special blend of professionalism and compassion, making her treatments both comfortable and effective. I will continue to refer people to her for physical therapy with complete confidence in the excellent care they will receive."

I accept Medicare, BCBS, Allways, HPHC and Tufts. Insurance companies require you to get a prescription for physical therapy and an insurance referral from your doctor. Then you can call (978) 761-3149 for an appointment. Referrals can be faxed to Lewis Physical Therapy at (978) 281-1508. I also accept cash payments. For these, a doctor’s prescription is appreciated but not required.

I have been in practice for over 25 years. I treat adults with orthopedic, sports or women's health related issues. I received my BSPT from Boston University in 1985. I am a member of the American Physical Therapy Association. Through this Association, I became a Board Certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist in Orthopedics in 2004 and 2014 and Board Certified Women's Health Physical Therapist in 2012, as well as receiving a Certificate of Achievement in Pelvic Floor Physical Therapy in 2008. I also integrate bodymind awareness training and pain science for treatment of chronic pain conditions.
